Dinner Program: Renewable Energy Technologies
Mr. Swink will present the various types of fuel cells currently being developed and marketed in the United States and internationally. In addition, he will identify the current markets being targeted by manufactures of each type of fuel cell. More specifically, he will discuss PHI's participation in the development of Polymer Electrolyte Membrane (PEM) fuel cells through an investment in a start-up fuel cell company and in siting demonstration units.

Recently, Mr. Rick Swink became Manager of Energy Transactions for Pepco Holdings, Inc. (PHI), one of the largest electricity delivery and natural gas companies in the mid-Atlantic region. Prior to that, he was Corporate Strategist for PHI where he evaluated emerging technologies and their potential impact on PHI's business lines. More specifically, he oversaw PHI's investment in a start-up fuel cell manufacturer.
