PES Program: Psychrometrics

Psychrometry is the study of atmospheric air and its associated water vapor and is the foundation of the HVAC industry. An understanding of psychrometrics provides engineers the knowledge required to size air conditioning systems and accurately estimate the cooling or heating load for any given facility. A precise psychrometric calculation can avoid over sizing or under sizing of a system, causing the system to run more efficiently and resulting in considerable reduction of costs. This session will include an introduction to Psychrometry, a description of its six parameters, the psychometric chart, and psychrometric processes.
