This month’s presentation will take place in a panel type discussion for an interactive and engaging setting. The topics to be covered will be duct design, construction issues, sealing of equipment, as well as highlights of the new duct manual along with testing and balancing issues. Multiple speakers have volunteered from SMACNA to ensure the success of this PES session.
Speakers: Richard Freeman, Eli Howard, Stan Fleischer
Richard, (Rick) Freeman has been with Stromberg Metal Works, Inc. for almost twenty years and has been in the sheet metal industry for almost thirty years. Rick began his career as a Sheet Metal Apprentice in Local #102, (now Local #100) in Washington DC. He then began moving up the management ladder and has served such roles as draftsman, foreman, and project manager. Rick was then promoted to Vice President and now serves as his company’s Executive Vice President. Rick currently serves a member of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association, (SMACNA) Board of Directors. He was a Task Force member who helped to re-write the new SMACNA HVAC Air Duct Leakage Test Manual that is scheduled to be released in the next few months. He is also the Past-President of SMACNA’s Mid-Atlantic Chapter and is currently the Chairman of the Education Committee of SMACNA’s Mid-Atlantic Chapter. In addition, he also serves on the Advisory Committee for the DC Metropolitan Subcontractors Association, (DCMSA).
